What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website leaves in your browser so it can recognise the same device on the next visit. Some expire when you close the tab. Others stay for a set period. We also use local storage, which works in a similar way but keeps the value in the browser rather than sending it with every request.
Cookies we set
The list is short. We do not run advertising pixels and we do not sell data to third parties.
- Consent record: stores whether you accepted or declined cookies so the banner does not appear on every visit. Kept in local storage for 12 months.
- Session cookie: keeps the quote form working while you fill it in. Expires when you close the browser.
- Preference cookie: remembers the last service page you opened so the form opens on the right option. Kept for 30 days.
- Analytics cookie: counts page views and the route people take to the quote form. Aggregated only, expires after 13 months.
Cookies we do not control
The contact page shows a Google map embed. Google may set its own cookies when the map loads, and those are governed by Google's policy rather than ours. If you would rather avoid them, use the direct map link instead of the embedded frame.
Payments are handled on a provider's own checkout page, which sets its own security cookies for fraud checks. Those cannot be disabled without breaking the payment.
Your choices
The banner on the homepage gives you an accept button and a decline button. Decline removes everything except the consent record and the session cookie that the quote form needs. You can change your mind at any time by clearing site data in your browser, which brings the banner back on the next visit.
Every major browser also lets you block cookies entirely, either for all sites or for specific ones. Blocking the session cookie will stop the quote form from submitting properly.
